In the heart of the Auvergne region, come on a tour of our company – APA, in the Thiernois reserve. Discover our manufacturing plant, our employees’ knowledge, and our machines’ capabilities… all the expertise that makes APA a point of reference for plastic injection moulding in France.

From the design till the finished product. From the beginning of till the end of the process.

Located in the heart of the Thiernois reserve, our plastic injection moulding company benefits from the region’s strong industrial background (in joining, forging and the plastics processing industry).
As the capital of the cutlery industry for the past six centuries, the city of Thiers has always found a way to stay up-to-date and has continued to evolve in a number of sectors in the manufacturing industry, therefore providing exceptionally efficient tools. This environment gives us an edge thanks to the specialist skills in the different industrial fields in the region (cutting, joining, metal processing, etc.), which of course allows us to meet our customers’ needs and expectations.
Our geographic location, 3km from the A89 motorway junction (between Lyon, Clermont and Bordeaux) after the East Theirs exit is ideal, and makes us practical and easy to get to, which ultimately strengthens our status as one of the key figures in the plastic injection moulding in France.

Your project handled from start to finish by us thanks to our network of sub-contractors

Even if we manage most of the manufacturing processes in-house: the design, choice of materials (in terms of convenience or technics), machining, the gilding, the electronics, etc.
APA also knows how to use its network and the skills of other businesses to supplement its expertise.
Being the sole point of contact for our clients means that we monitor the project from start to finish. With the help of its sub-contractors, APA has control over every step (the cutting, machining, metal processing, etc) as well as the US break insertion and US welding. However, the overall assembly is always done on-site.

“We also know how to partner-up with other plastics specialists for important and or big projects. We have taken advantage of that and developed additional products like display cabinets, mass consumption products) and have started tackling the American market” adds Xavier Cotte, CEO of APA.

Paramedical, a new market to explore

With the purpose of continuing to grow and diversify, APA plans to develop its own range of products in the healthcare world. We are going to install laminar flow hoods above the clamps says Xavier Cotte, the CEO at APA Plastics. “This compact equipment prevents dust and will act as mini clean-room”.

In addition to the health sector, the system also meets the requirements necessary for the electronics market. The company therefore, is still continuing to renew itself and is not being complacent, today the paramedical sector and tomorrow who knows..?

Constantly investing in our Machinery

Always on the look-out for any kind of innovation, staying in tune with the market’s needs, Xavier Cotte, CEO of APA Plastics, regularly invests in his machinery and “guarantees real flexibility in the production process in order to meet customer deadlines”. APA also designs and builds tools in-house, focusing on managing deadlines and above all the quality of the products.
Currently equipped with 7 machines (30 to 350ton), which include 4 FANUC and Billon electric clamps, 2 robotic clamps and a fleet of machines make tools in-house, APA Plastics has just acquired a new machining centre the UGV Makino (20,000 rpm) which increases our manufacturing capability even more.
